Violin
Alethea (she/her) grew up in Canberra, before moving to Brisbane to complete her Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the Queensland Conservatorium. She completed a Master’s in Music (Research) at UTas, and since 2021 studies baroque violin with Julia Fredersdorff.
Alethea has performed with internationally acclaimed ensembles ELISION, eighth blackbird and Ensemble Interface, has performed at soundSCAPE (Italy), Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival (Finland), the International Summer Course for New Music at Darmstadt (Germany) the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, The Unconformity, Dark Mofo and MONA FOMA.
Alethea plays casually with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and Van Diemen’s Band.
