Ehsan (he/him) was born in Shahrood, Iran and graduated in metallurgy engineering. He simultaneously studied Iranian classical music on the Setar and performed in the Zhabiz music group. Ehsan learned Tanbur under the supervision of Master Mirfarsad Maleknia and played and sang with the Hafez group.

After immigrating to Australia, Ehsan has continued to play, performing in the Multicultural Festival, Hobart, in live performance at ABC Radio Hobart, Government House, Dark Mofo, and the Winter Light Festival, Salamanca Art Centre and in a co-commission with Sina Tarkesh Esfahani for Floating Scores as part of 'Songs That We Carry'.

He conceived and headed the project which became نغمه جاودانه (Naghmeh Javdaneh): Eternal Resonance.
