'Songs That We Carry' in conjunction with the Junction Arts Festival September 2024
The Lutruwita Art Orchestra was proud to announce the world premiere of 'Songs That We Carry' at Junctions Arts Festival, Launceston. 'Songs That We Carry' weaved together music that thrums with deep resonance for the musicians of the Lutruwita Art Orchestra. These songs were woven into a rich musical tapestry that allowed us to open a window to other worlds, other lives and the infinite possibilities of connectedness. The LAO is an ensemble of musicians, diverse in culture, gender and ability. It is a platform for collaboration and creating a uniquely Tasmanian sonic culture through improvisation and radical fusion. 'Songs That We Carry' fully delivered on that endeavour.
