2024-2025 Annual Report PDF 5mb

2024 - 2025.

The financial health of the Lutruwita Art Orchestra for the year has remained robust. We are indebted to major funding again from Arts Tasmania, Creative Australia, the City of Hobart, Moonah Arts Centre, and from the Bellendena Small Grants program.  During this past 12 months we have built new partnerships and connections that are helping to ensure the sustainability of the LAO within our island’s arts constellation. I’d like to celebrate the support of our partners, particularly our venue partner and regular rehearsal space, the Moonah Arts Centre, and our office’s home, Kickstart Arts.

2023 - 2024.

Across 2023-24 LAO concentrated on simply building. We focused on the organisational framework, with the solid support of the board, to ensure sustainability and a safe space for Stevie and the orchestra to create improvisational magic. We've been hugely successful this year, in that peers in both state and Federal government funding bodies have understood and funded us with little to show except our reputations, marvellous ideas and solid planning to get there and of course, our natural diversity.

Lutruwita Art Orchestra acknowledges that we live and work on stolen land. We use the palawa kani name for Tasmania, which is Lutruwita with permission from the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre. We value and respect the relationships we have and are building on with the palawa community and are committed to following cultural protocols and guidance generously shared with us.
